CROSSFIT

CrossFit begins with a belief in fitness. The aim of CrossFit is to forge a broad, general and inclusive fitness. We have sought to build a program that will best prepare trainees for any physical contingency — not only for the unknown, but for the unknowable. CrossFit itself is defined as that which optimizes fitness (constantly varied functional movements performed at relatively high intensity). CrossFit is also the community that spontaneously arises when people do these workouts together. In fact, the communal aspect of CrossFit is a key component of why it’s so effective. The magic is in the movements. All of CrossFits workouts are based on functional movements. These are the core movements of life, found everywhere, and built naturally into our DNA. They move the largest loads the longest distances so they are ideal for maximizing the amount of work done in the shortest time (intensity). In implementation, CrossFit is, quite simply, the “sport of fitness.” We’ve learned that harnessing the natural camaraderie, competition and fun of sport or game yields an intensity that cannot be matched by other means.

Group training allows members to push each other, hold each other accountable, and build relationships with one another. This training environment allows our members to grow as a community instead of individuals. It does not matter if you goal is to train as an elite level athlete or make some new friends and become healthier; Rural Strength and Conditioning has something for you.

These daily classes are for athletes who want to participate in the sport of fitness. You will train with a group of like minded individuals who will help push you to do things you never thought were possible. In these one hour classes you will learn how to clean, jerk, snatch, row, swing, lift, carry, throw, push, pull and everything in between.

On Ramp Classes

If you are interested in starting CrossFit, send us a message today to schedule your free assessment. Once your assessment is complete, you will start your On Ramp Program. These 4, 1 hour sessions, are planned completely around your schedule and will teach you the fundamentals of CrossFit training in a slower paced one-on-one setting. Your coach will work with you to teach you how to mobilize and lift properly before joining the regular scheduled CrossFit program. This slower integration is integral to injury prevention and central nervous system adaptations.

Note: If you have previously done CrossFit at another affiliate and want to join our team, you can book a one hour assessment with a coach who will evaluate your skill and mobility levels to determine whether our regular classes are right for you, or if you would benefit from the On Ramp program first.
