Coach and Nutrition Coach
Corbin has been involved in different sports and training his whole life. As a Walkerton native, he participates in sports year round. He attended Brock University after high school and graduated with a
Bachelors degree in Therapeutic Recreation in 2012. He then became a Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist in 2013. He has also been a volunteer Fire Fighter with the Walkerton Department since he
returned home in 2014. Corbin's love for CrossFit started in 2016 and he became a CrossFit Level 2 certified early in 2022.
Corbin is also our resident Nutrition Coach. He has gained valuable hands on experience and understands the commitment and patience needed in achieving long term weight loss goals and is eager to help you reach your health and fitness goals any way he can.
Tracy traveled the world, as part of the children's entertainment department for Celebrity Cruise lines, before returning home to Walkerton. She pursued a post graduate diploma as a Communicative Disorders Assistant, and facilitates speech and language therapy sessions with preschool aged children by day. She played basketball at the collegiate level, helping take her team to Nationals in her final year. She first discovered CrossFit in 2015 and has been an active member of the RuralSC family ever since, competing in several competitions, including a first place finish at Festivus in 2017. She attained her CrossFit Level 2 Trainer status in 2023 and is using her skills to coach and train Personal Training sessions.
Alex has been weight training from a young age when he took up basketball and football. Originally from London and attending Western University, he was a dual sport athlete as an offensive lineman on the football team for four years and a member of the track and field team for three years competing as a thrower. He has had the privilege to compete and learn from many professional athletes and coaches from multiple sports.
After he hung up his cleats and moved to the area in 2013, he changed his training mindset to be more sustainable. Since starting CrossFit that same year, he has worked towards creating a healthy and active lifestyle.
He is Level 1 certified and knows how to help his clients build strength while staying healthy.
Growing up in Grey-Bruce, Chris has always had an outdoor active lifestyle, filled with lots of hiking, biking, and trail running. He’s tackled multiple obstacle course races, ran half marathons both on-road and trail, as well as taken part in many other running events.
He’s also always enjoyed spending time in the gym as a way to stay strong, and manage stress. His typical gym routine was almost all dumbbell work, and everyday had the potential to turn into chest and biceps day... again. Seeing the value in doing the work you don’t necessarily feel like doing, Chris looked to CrossFit for some new motivation and new direction.
In 2019 Chris joined RSC as a way to learn new things, train in a new way, and leave his old bro-lift routine behind.
His favourite lifts are heavy power moves like deadlifts, squats, and bench press, but he is always working on improving gymnastic movements like pull ups, toe-to-bars, and handstands.
In 2022 Chris received his CrossFit Level 1 Trainer certification and joined the RSC coaching staff. Always happy to help new members get over the intimidation of starting something new, and always ready to laugh, Chris is here to make sure we’re all having a good time!
